Tropical Holidays – Terms & Conditions

Cancellation Details

You can cancel your reservation free of charge 30 days prior to your arrival date. If you cancel your reservation less than 30 days before arrival, a charge of total accommodation 50% of the cost will be incurred and the booking fee will be charged at this time as well.. Travel arrangements do not always go to plan so, for peace of mind, we encourage you to take out travel insurance. 

In the unlikely event that Tropical Holidays is unable for any reason (including the sale of the property) to fulfil your confirmed reservation, we reserve the right to transfer your booking to an alternative similar property in consultation with you. If no alternative property is available, then the reservation will be cancelled with a full refund of all monies paid to you, without further compensation. 

Holiday Premises

The premises are let to you for holiday purposes only and are not available for parties, weddings or functions unless prior arrangements have been made with Tropical Holidays. 

During your occupancy no more than the number of persons confirmed on the reservation are permitted to stay overnight at the premises, without prior consent of Tropical Holidays. This information is required for insurance purposes. 

The dwelling is smoke free and must be left clean and tidy at the end of your stay. On departure, if there is evidence of smoke odour you will be charged an appropriate fee to cover additional cleaning costs; if damage to the premises has been incurred during your stay or excess cleaning is required, Tropical Holidays will charge the credit card supplied by you for such amounts and without reference, you hereby authorise us to do so. Breakages and losses to the property are to be reported and payment for their replacement maybe required. 

Neither Tropical Holidays, nor the owner of the property, cover your personal belongings under their insurance policy and take no responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property left on the premises. We encourage you to take out travel insurance to cover yourself whilst you are away. 

The property you are staying in may have security measures in place, such as a camera outside the property. Please note that security cameras don’t infringe on a guests' privacy and are non-operational during a quest’s stay. 

Check In / Check Out

Check-in time is from 2pm. The key will be left at the property and prior to your arrival we will connect with you regarding access details. 

Check-out time is 10am, please leave the keys where you found them and lock the property. 

Check out is 10am to ensure there is sufficient time for housekeeping to prepare the property for the next guests. Late checkouts maybe requested at the latest one day prior to your departure, however, this request is subject to availability and a cost of $50.00 per additional hour could apply. If the property is not vacated by 10am without prior approval then an extra night’s fee will be charged to your account. 

Holiday Tips 

Only Telstra & Optus mobile phones have coverage in Mission Beach 
Calls from pay phones are free and emergency calls still work on your mobile regardless of the carrier in Australia. 

The holiday property is self-catered and privately owned; please treat the accommodation with respect. There is a Woolworth's Supermarket at Wongaling Beach which is open Monday to Friday 8am – 9pm, Saturday 8am – 5pm and closed on Sunday. At Mission Beach Village, Mission Mini Mart is open seven days a week from 7am – 7pm, complimented by The Bowerbird’s Pantry open Wednesday to Saturday and market Sundays and Leni's Fruit and Vegetables open seven days a week. 

The property has a complimentary starter pack and is equipped with bed and bathroom linen, including beach towels. Please do not use the bathroom towels for the beach or pool, any soiled linen may incur a cost of replacement. For reservations 8 days and longer, we will arrange mid clean for you at your request.
